  • Diwali Quad Lighting

Diwali Quad Lighting is one of our major yearly events, where we decorate the main quad (union side) with thousands of candles. It indeed is one of the most beautiful events held in UIUC (revealed to us unofficially by the officials!), and a definite must see as part of your stay in UIUC. Our bet is that, this spectacular sight will make you forget your homesickness (if you are!!) for the whole night!

    Check this out!
Diwali Quad Lighting was on the front page of the Daily Illini on 20th October 2009
(Daily Illini is the independent student newspaper at U of I).

  • IGSA Diwali Night

And to keep this spirit of Diwali alive, the Indian Graduate Students Association organises the Diwali Night. Diwali night is the place where you can meet your friends, enjoy the outstanding perfromances by the graduate students, and gorge on delicious indian food!
